This is the most recent office, created in 1978, to oversee the buildings owned by the Town & Manor of Hungerford.

The major priority is the management of the Town Hall and Corn Exchange which is the major beneficiary of the charity income. History tells us that the reason has always been “a place where the inhabitants shall meet”. In addition there is the John of Gaunt Inn and the Water Keeper’s House to maintain.

Robin Tubb was elected Trustee in Oct 1999, and held the office of Constable in 2006/07. He is best known as the Bellman and Town Crier and has held office continuously since 1957. He is also deputy to the Constable. Sadly, Robin died in Jan 2012.
