The Trustees of the Town and Manor have the responsibility of running the Town and Manor along with three committees:

• The Buildings Committee, responsible for the Town Hall and Corn Exchange,
• The Fishery Committee, responsible for managing The Fishery, and
• The Commons Committee, responsible for managing the various areas of common land, including the Common Port Down and Freeman’s Marsh.
